One agent to another

A friend reached out to me for this.

I have a friend who asked me to work on their personal lines. His son plays high school baseball with my son. Has a 19 year old daughter and a 16 year old son. State Farm is non-renewing auto due to claims. In four years, there have been 5 at-faults, 1 not-at-fault, 2 comprehensive claims and 2 speeds. My personal lines girls have worked to find a market. Progressive even declined. Spoke with 8 different brokers and have been declined. I feel really bad for him and want to help him secure coverage. Any suggestions?

He's going to end up spending 20 hours trying to help these folks out. And then he'll spend another 2 hours per week getting the policy reinstated every time it cancels for non-payment. With each phone call he's going to have to listen to what a scam this is and be called a crook. Then he's going to have to get an earful if the premium goes up $20.

And in the end, after the poor guy has poured his heart and soul into this account, neglected his profitable clients and exhausted himself, these folks will find something that's a nickel cheaper and leave him.

This is why I do not waste my time dealing with personal insurance.

Yes indeed Shar, the world has no shortage of losers, scammers, and flim-flammers.

They spend their $$$'s on foolish things and expect "someone else" to cover the important things while they sit on their asses and watch their big screen TV's.

And they are very reliable Democratic voters.

I know a few liberal agents in DC. They always get upset when an association meeting begins with a prayer.

That's because a public 'prayer' is a dishonest display of artificial piety.
Something you cult followers are famous for.

I'm not big on public prayer, but the liberals are offended that prayer is done in a business forum.

I agree that my personal faith does not belong in a business setting. But I'm certainly not offended if others do it.

And therein lies the difference. If I don't think the prayer is appropriate, I don't participate when others do it.

If liberals don't think it's appropriate, they are offended and don't want anyone to do it.

You don't realize it's not "offended". It's expressing a desire to get on with the business of the meeting, instead of pretending you're holy.

No. I've been friends with these guys for 20+ years. Our families are friends. We've traveled thousands of miles together.

They are in no hurry to begin the meeting. They don't like the prayer, therefore no one should do it.

If I don't like a TV show, I change the channel. If liberals don't like a show, they try to have it banned because if they don't like something, then no one should have it.

Same with the prayer.

As always, the "tolerance" crowd is only tolerant of things they approve of.

So if I wanted to stop a group meeting and have a Muslim call to prayer, you are OK with that Marat Sissy? You would sit patiently for 10 minutes while I prayed?

Lying hypocritical sack of !@#$.

You want to pray? Do it on your own time. Not on mine
