I'm not going to waste my extremely valuable time posting links to prove what is common knowledge among the properly educated.

Since this document is 48 pages long I append the link to it below:

I haven't read the whole thing yet (only about 1/3 so far) but I have read enough to conclude that your interpretation is seriously hyperbolic (as I suspected).

The section I read makes it plain that the Virginia convention representatives were split with the Federalists slightly in the majority. There were a total of THREE OTHER STATES which were debating the same topics as those the Virginia conference was discussing AT THE SAME TIME!!!

If you don't have the sources/references to support your claims you shouldn't post them as if they were facts. Until you can supply references it is only an opinion!!!.

"Holdout" from ratifying what, XYZ? The "original" Constitution or the BoR?

RI was the last of the original 13 to ratify the Constitution. You can look up the dates.

Polly, we're discussing the BoR. Read the thread title and try to keep up.

Perhaps "properly brainwashed" is more like it.

BTW: Just out of curiosity, shar, what university/ies did you get degrees from and what dept. were they awarded by???

XYZ, I read very well, but pronouns without definitive antecedents can be very fuzzy. You have a tendency to use them after bringing up two or more different things.

Strunk & White is available at your local library, but I recommend you buy a copy at the bookstore of your choice.
