The only people "obfuscating" around here are the ones who keep parroting this incomplete and inaccurate statement about "people who don't pay taxes".

Everybody pays (who is working legally atleast), and everyone who makes retail purchases pays.

Your primary concern seems to be Income tax...using the quantifier of it "confiscating" the income of the successful and "redistributing it" to those who haven't "earned it".

Well you better comes to grips with reality [sign in to see URL] who works and pay [sign in to see URL] purchases goods and [sign in to see URL] provides goods and services PAYS IN.

We are all dependent on each [sign in to see URL] do things we cannot do [sign in to see URL] provide services and skills we all do not possess.

And lambasting those who garner a fatter refund simply because their "contribution to society" doesn't meet some's narrowed ideals of a benefit to society reeks of grossly inflated self-importance.

As GEN George Patton once said:

Any man who thinks they aren't expendable, ain't.

What a joke! Hold on to those thoughts if it gets you throught the night. If you want to play that game, so be it. We all know what the issue being discussed was, but if it makes you feel better to trot out that lame !@#$ about usage taxes and sales taxes, you have no foothold in the argument.

Bottom line: I personally don't want to pay someone elses way by force. Call it what you want, I don't care. Taking mine to give to someone else against my will is stealing. Plain and simple. I prefer to make my own decisions regarding charity.

"the more educated a person is, the more they tend to vote [sign in to see URL]'t you mean the more brainwashed? "

The brainwashing of our children in the tarnished halls of academia began just after WWII when the solders returned home and wanted their children to become more educated than themselves.

The Communist and Socialist saw a great opportunity to blow smoke into the ears of the American youth and have been doing just that since.

If you will remember; Khrushchev made the comment to Nixon that the USSR would take over this country without firing a shot. His intent is now very clear and coming to fruition.

We should thank the likes of Curtis and his minions for bringing it to our attention.

While some of them may be educated in the "Liberal arts", their reasoning IQ shows them to be real live morons.

PATHETIC WHAT?
