You are way to far behind to cop a confederate attitude like that.

the Senator represents the State and the Congressman represents the individual people within the state.

Our neighbor was having trouble with qualifying for help with medicaid because of some cross referenced land ownership deeds.

She called Senator Ernst office and she was able to cut thru some red tape and get her father the medical treatment he needed.

i do not see how something that simple can confuse shar and make him go into his lobotomized, ayn rand, Mr Rodgers act.

As an individual, I respectfully communicate with my senators all the time. And they respond rather promptly when in session.

Why do the GOP think talking like a bad politician giving evasive answers is impressive?

Talking in circles of nonsense is not impressive, to people who are not sheep-minded.

When shar is done reviewing his Schoolhouse Rock videos, he might come back and lay some more shar math on us!

580,000 = 703,000.

And 2.5 million more, means losing.

You seem to be trying to tackle too many topics at once. Eat what's on your plate.

Wyoming has 2 senators. Each senator represents 290,000 people.
California has 2 senators. Each senator represents 18,627,000 people.

Are you now ok with how that works and why it's fair?

Notice how every time you ask Shar the question... I think it's been 6 or 7 times now... he moves to something else? And then tries to act all sooper smert.. when in fact all he did was dance and avoid. #sad

Actually, I'm staying on the original point that confused TS about Senate representation. It would be ineffective to move onto the new topic (no matter how many times it's asked) until the original point of confusion is understood.

You can't move on to algebra until you grasp the arithmetic. Let's just try to take it one step at a time.

Original point? From the 11th page of the thread? Some OP!

We've moved on from that. The Senate will always be a minority tilted body as the way it is set up today. We're talking about representation in government, which would be the lower House.

So again I ask you, how can 1 rep (also electoral vote) for 580,000 people be the same as 1 rep (also electoral vote) for 703,000 people?

C'mon Shar! Don't run away! I understand the weight of each senator, by each state getting 2 senators regardless of population. I learned that in elementary school, but you want to call that "equal representation".

And I understand algebra too. I learned that in high school. I understand Boolean algebra too. I learned that in college. I know how to subtract numbers by adding them .

But I don't know how 580,000 is equal representation to 703,000!

Yes, it's exactly what I call it. Each state has equal representation in the senate: 2 each.

Are you under the impression that some states have more Senators than others?
