You are joking right? You come in here all the time with !@#$ from righwing leaning sites and the moment someone mentions that you cry FOUL and demand we comment on the message not the site.

Can't have it both ways, jethro.

Ok, let's try this again...

The fact is ]Choose one here ]or here seems to present factual information in a format and context designed to lead the reader into the author's opinion. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage their agenda.

Well this train has definitely gone off the tracks.

Yep. It happened right when you posted fact-less dishonest info that uncivilly insulted posters on this thread.

You continue to dodge the issue here..

You, on numerous occaisions, have posted articles from sites that have a strong poltical bias. When someone dismisses your post based on the source... or attacks the source... or questions the honesty of the source... YOU go on a rant about stop attacking the source and instead demand we read the message from the source and then ask members to discuss the message from the source. The source doesn't matter!

Now here you are with the shoe on the other foot and unable to see how hypocritical you are. Hmmm wonder why that is?

Ok, let's try this again...

I'm not questioning the honesty of this article. I'm trying to drill down into what the message is. Apparently a GOP consultant received a letter notifying him that he might be accused of some major violations.

That was extrapolated into some huge story of intrigue, secret agents and Russians. It even had one member convinced that is somehow proof that he is being targeted by the federal government as a spy.

I'm certainly no expert, but if the federal government were targeting a suspect for major espionage, it wouldn't make sense to give him notice that they are building a case against him; to give him plenty of time to turn on the paper shredder and bug out to a non-extradition country.

Yes, shar did just that below here.

But I don't really see that Butina’s GOP Boyfriend is being targeted by anyone but the Daily Beast. I tried to find some more information, but they seem to be the only ones reporting on it.

Prosecutors charge that Butina, 29, gathered intelligence on American officials and political organizations and worked to develop relationships with American politicians via her contacts with the National Rifle Association. They say her work was directed by a former Russian lawmaker who was sanctioned this year by the U.S. Treasury Department for his alleged ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

WASHINGTON (AP) —
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan
also denied a defense request that the defendant, Maria Butina, be released on bail and placed under house arrest.

While shar contends its all a left wing conspiracy by the Daily Beast. lmao

Just like Trump does.

Shar, the message to you is simple -- you can't have it both ways.

It's an interesting reporting style.

So back on page 2 Lumpy declares the thread has gone off the tracks.

But, where it went off the tracks isthe above post - post #2.

It is at this point that Lumpy decides not to comment on the op, but, instead, focus his attention on "style".

Not substance.

Style.

So as you read the post, when something needed to be cited so we could review their source, it was provided.

Any problem with the sourcing that you see Lumpy?

I do not see anything egregious.

What I do see is a poster with admittedly very little knowledge of the events and situations listed in the op confused by the manner in which investigators are pursuing this.

But that poster never considers his admittedly limited knowledge as a reason for his inability to comprehend some of the statements made in the post. Just baselessly making assertions about events he has stated he doesn't know about.

THAT is where it went off the rails, Lumpy.

1) "two individuals with knowledge of the meetings told The Daily Beast...."

2) "multiple sources told The Daily Beast..."

3) "A person familiar with the investigation told The Daily Beast..."

4) "...a source familiar with those communications confirmed to The Daily Beast".

Let's just say we have different standards.
