Shar spams this board claiming to be smarter than EVERYONE.

Says we are all uninformed voters who are so stupid we will cheer lead a turd.

And we fall for all the supposed dem lies.

Then he fills his diapers if someone dares to even suggest his GOP debate tactics/ talking points/ meme's/ propaganda suck.

Perpetual victim-hood, just like Trump and the entire GOP.

Is that why "Trump and the entire GOP" are winning on all fronts?

Re: Do Repugs Just Hate Democracy In General?

I'm assuming you know that the USSC upheld the ID requirement yesterday.

That very one. The I.D. requirement N Dakota Repugs implemented to try and stem the rampant, massive, evidence free and entirely unsubstantiated problem with voter fraud they are currently dealing with.

And in deference to my own search for clarity, should I assume you're not aware that Heidi Heitkamp (D) was elected to the US Senate, thanks in large part to support from Native American voters, a great many of whom live in communities that require p.o. box addresses because the US Postal Service doesn't provide residential delivery for them?

And if I should assume you didn't know, should I assume you're also unaware that the voter ID law Repugs implemented to combat massive voter fraud, does so by by refusing to allow anyone without a street address the opportunity to vote?

Or would you rather I assume that you know this already and simply don't care, since it serves your partisan best interests?

PO boxes are much cheaper than actual houses, this is a well known fact of life.

Just one person can have many of them, also a well known fact.

It's great to see that Gtar is taking my advice and getting his excuses lined up for November 7th.

This one will "explain" North Dakota in his feeble mind.....

Demonstrating once again that he may be entirely too !@#$ stupid to debate politics, but sisl's always smart enough to be a posturing, loudmouthed third grader.

Thanks for sharing that informative, detailed report on the housing market and US Postal Service guidelines.

PO boxes are a major tool of scammers everywhere.

Much like you are a minor tool of Conservative scammers everywhere.

I'm not here to merit the legitimacy of the voter ID laws. I'm just trying to see if I understand you correctly so we don't run off onto irrelevant rabbit trails.

Are you angry that the GOP for invoking the law, angry at the USSC for upholding it, or both?

For what it's worth, my primary mailing address for home and office are PO boxes. Going to the post office to get the mail is once of the charming things of small-town life. It's a social meeting place to catch up with folks.

And for what its worth, I've never had a problem voting.

Shar is it really this difficult for you?

The GOP wrote the law and the GOP controlled USSC upheld it. So yeah. I’m angry at both.

Not difficult. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not making incorrect assumptions.

One thing that is a real shame is the sense that the USSC is controlled by one team or the other.

It doesn't have to be this way. But, as we saw last month, when you take a solemn process and turn it into a circus freak show designed to shock and entertain; we reap what we sew.

But to the topic, I've said more than once that voter ID laws don't seem to be necessary at this point. When any law is proposed, we should ask, "what existing problem will this solve?". Voter ID laws don't seem to fix any existing problems.

So let's agree that we're on the same page there.

Where we begin to differ is on how complicated it is to obtain an ID. I don't hear a lot of complaints that certain minority groups are disenfranchised from catching a fish, or checking out a library book, or buying a box of Claritan-D; because it's too difficult to provide an ID.

So I can't help but wonder if the objection to the ID requirement is less than sincere. I'm speaking for myself only. But I think the objection is purely political, partisan and not sincere.
